Hawaii Activities – Top 13 Posts
What comes to your mind when you think of Friday the 13th? Fear? Superstition? I am a firm believer that you create your own destiny so I am not fearful of Friday the 13th. To counteract the negativity of today’s date I have taken a walk down memory lane with my list of the Top 13 Blog Posts about the best Hawaii Activities! Just click on the titles of the Hawaii Activities to read more about each adventure!
1. Koko Head Crater Hike – Never Give Up
If you want to associate Friday the 13th with fear, Hiking Koko Head may be one of the scariest things I have done in Hawaii. When I was at the bottom and looked up at the hike before me I was frightened because I thought I would never make it to the top. With great friends and even encouragement from strangers I made it and the difficulties I endured made the view from the top even sweeter.
2. Koloa Zipline – Kauai Zipline Tours
A few years ago I conquered my fear of heights on a Big Island Zipline Tour. Since then I have been on a variety of Hawaii Ziplines but Koloa Zipline on Kauai is one of my favorites. The scenic views, the personable guides and the 1/2 mile zip at the end made this one of the most fun and memorable Hawaii Activities.
3. Big Island Helicopter Tours
This post about Big Island Helicopter Tours is special to me because the Traveling Trio Series was the beginning of my blogging career. I was able to spend a week in paradise with two of my best friends and we had many great adventures. Flying over an active volcano was definitely one of the highlights. Be sure to check out the post for some great shots of the lava!
4. Manta Ray Night Snorkeling – Majestic Manta Ballet
Manta Ray Night Snorkeling may be the most unique Hawaii Activity I have ever experienced. If you are going to Kona I highly recommend putting Manta Ray Night Snorkeling at the top of your Hawaii Activities list.
5. Chief’s Luau at Sea Life Park
I have been to numerous Hawaii Luaus but there is something about Chief’s Luau at Sea Life Park that makes it unlike any other Hawaiian Luau. The beautiful setting and the hilarious Chief are just two things about Chief’s Luau that have me returning to Chief’s Luau over and over again.
6. 10 Things To Know About Waikiki Beach
Hawaii has many beautiful beaches but Waikiki Beach is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the world.
We had a blast blogging about our hike up Diamond Head, the backdrop of Waikiki. We conquered trails, stairs and tunnels to experience one of the most scenic views in Hawaii.
8. Hawaii Surf Lessons – Sibling Rivalry Edition
This post always makes me laugh. I love that our surfing collision was captured on film!
9. Surfing with Tatiana Weston-Webb
With another surfing post making the list you can see that I love surfing in Hawaii. It was such a treat to surf with Tatiana Weston-Webb. She had an amazing season as a professional surfer and I have enjoyed watching her competitions online. She won the gold this year in Nicaragua and I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next season! Be sure to check out her blog TatianaWestonWebb.com.
10. Kipu Ranch Adventures ATV Tour
I was scared and nervous when I began this ATV Tour but by the end of the tour I was ready to purchase my own ATV! This post captures some of the beautiful locations on Kauai that only a few get to see.
11. Princeville Ranch Adventures Horseback Riding Waterfall Adventure
I recently went on the Princeville Ranch Adventures Horseback Riding Waterfall Tour and was blown away. This tour had it all! I loved the horseback riding but these Hawaii Activities also included a fun, scenic hike as well as swimming and lunch at a gorgeous waterfall. Be sure to check out the post to see all that is offered in this Kauai Tour.
12. Maui Snorkeling with Pacific Whale Foundation
Molokini, off of the island of Maui is one of my favorite places to snorkel. Pacific Whale Foundation took us on an amazing tour with snorkeling at 2 locations as well as dolphin sightings and facts and fun from the informative crew.
13. What To Pack For Your Hawaii Vacation
What To Pack For Your Hawaii Vacation lists the essentials needed for a Hawaii Vacation. The key to packing for Hawaii is to pack light and leave extra room in your suitcase for all of the goodies you are going to want to bring home. The OluKai flip flops (slippahs) pictured above are my favorite shoes and are an essential item for me in Hawaii.
