Waimanalo Beach – One of the Best Hawaii Beaches

One of the best Hawaii Beaches is Waimanalo Beach. Waimanalo Beach Bay consists of 75 acres of pristine beaches from Makapu’u Beach to Bellows Air Force Base. We packed up the boogie boards and headed to Waimanalo Beach with Mitch, the master guide of the Zen Tour. As with many of the best Hawaii Beaches prepare to be awestruck at the beauty when you arrive at Waimanalo Beach. This Oahu beach was recently voted one of the top 5 beaches in the US.

In Hawaiian the word Waimanalo means “Protected Precious Waters.” Waimanalo Beach boasts a beautiful sandy beach, and stunning blue water. The long stretch of beach includes gorgeous views of Ko’olau Volcano and Manana Island (Rabbit Island). You may recognize this beach as a Hawaii Film location. It has been featured in Magnum PI and Baywatch Hawaii.

For those that don’t want to brave a surfboard, boogie boarding is the way to go! At Waimanalo Beach the waves were big enough for an exhilarating ride but small enough to be safe.

We spent the day riding the waves and enjoying the beach.

The views from the water were as spectacular as the views from the beach!

As I headed back to the car I took one last look at Waimanalo Beach. The long sandy beach, beautiful water and a back drop of trees and mountains makes this one of the best Hawaii beaches!

Waimanalo Beach is also a popular location for Hawaii Weddings so you may even witness a bride and groom tying the knot!

Located off Kalanianaole Highway on Southeast Oahu, Waimanalo Beach is a 35 minute drive from Waikiki.  Get away from the crowds of Waikiki Beach and relax at Waimanalo.
