Disney Breakfast – Ohana Restaurant at the Disney Polynesian Resort

Disney Breakfast

Since we were having a Disney Vacation with our Ohana (family) we figured there was no better place to end our Disney Vacation than at the Disney character breakfast at Ohana Restaurant. My two year old was starstruck all week when he saw Mickey Mouse so I knew he would get a kick out of seeing Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at a Disney breakfast.

When we arrived at Ohana Restaurant we received a lei greeting. We were given a pager and told to wait for our table but it was ready in less than five minutes. When we sat down for our Disney breakfast we were immediately given 2 baskets of assorted breakfast breads. As we enjoyed the Hawaiian bread they brought us fresh fruit including delicious pineapple.

The Disney breakfast at Ohana Restaurant is a buffet but it is served family style meaning they brought the food to us. The menu included Hua Paka (Scrambled Eggs), Uala Kahiki (Fried Potatoes), Pua’u (Pork Breakfast Sausage Links and Bacon) and our table’s favorite: Mickey Mouse Waffles!

Since this was a Disney Character Breakfast, as we ate the characters came to each table to mingle and sign autographs. Lilo was the first to arrive at our table.

Pluto looked great in his Hawaiian Lei!

Mickey Mouse was festive in his Aloha Shirt and Lei Greeting.

At one point during the Disney breakfast the kids were given instruments and had a parade around Ohana restaurant with Mickey Mouse leading the way.

If you are looking for a fun Disney Character Breakfast be sure to check out Ohana at the Disney Polynesian! They book well in advance so be sure to make a reservation.

Ohana Restaurant also has a popular dinner (without characters) that includes Pineapple-Coconut Bread, Honey Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork Fried Dumplings, Oak Grilled Chicken, Asian Barbecued Pork Loin, Marinated Sirloin Steak and Spicy Shrimp. Their famous dessert is Ohana bread pudding served a la mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce.
