Elf on the Shelf Ideas – Elf That Needs a Hawaii Vacation

Elf on the Shelf Ideas

A few weeks ago our Elf on the Shelf, Stocking, arrived for another Christmas season of pranks and fun. I wrote a blog post about his grand entrance and some of his best pranks of 2011.  Due to the popularity of the Elf on the Shelf ideas post I decided to blog about some of Stocking’s hiding places so far this Christmas season. Unlike our Elf on the Shelf’s grand entrance these hiding places are fairly quick and simple.

If you see a pattern in Stocking’s hiding places you are not alone. Obviously our Elf on the Shelf has had enough of the North Pole and wants a Hawaii Vacation in his near future. These Elf on the Shelf Ideas are fun for any family – not just those that are planning Hawaii Activities.

The first clue that Stocking was thinking of a Hawaii Vacation was when we found him fishing! He wasn’t catching Mahi Mahi, Striped Marlin, Tuna or Ahi, like you catch on Hawaii Fishing Trips but the kids loved eating the “magic elf goldfish.”

The next morning we found him cruising in the bathtub. He was obviously dreaming of Hawaii Cruises – maybe Dinner Cruises, Whale Watching Cruises or even Hawaii Snorkeling Tours (click here to read about our snorkeling tour and dolphin encounter). The kids thought this was a hilarious location but they were a bit concerned he was going to get wet.

After searching the house, our Elf on the Shelf was finally spotted high above the dining room in a helicopter! He must have heard me raving about Hawaii Helicopter Tours. From seeing lava flow on the big island, to the beauty of a bird’s eye view of the diverse island of Kauai our Elf on the Shelf knows Hawaii Helicopter Tours are one of the best ways to experience the Aloha State.

My daughter cracked up when she found our Elf on the Shelf horseback riding with Princess Jasmine. Stocking probably spends a lot of time with Rudolph and the other reindeer so he seemed right at home horseback riding. The stairs at our house are not as scenic as Hawaii Horseback Riding Tours but I guess the scenery isn’t important when you are horseback riding with a Disney Princess.

The last spot we found him on his Hawaii Activities hiding spree was ziplining from the Christmas Tree! He must have had some practice on Kauai Zipline Tours or Big Island Zipline Tours because he can already zipline upside down!

So it seems that all our Elf on the Shelf wants for Christmas is a Hawaii Vacation. I think after flying to the North Pole every night to report to Santa he deserves a Hawaii Vacation with fun Hawaii Activities.
