Hawaii Farmers Market

Hawaii Farmers Market

Last week I asked for fan questions on our Hawaii Discount Facebook page. One question that came up was “where can I find a Hawaii Farmers Market”? I highly recommend hitting a Hawaii Farmers Market during your Hawaii Vacation! My number one tip for getting the best out of a Hawaii Farmers Market is to get there early! People line up before the market opens!

At a Hawaii Farmers Market you can find fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables including delicious and exotic varieties. Browse and you may find mangoes, papayas, ong choy, choi sum, Okinawan spinach, opal basil and fresh fish. At many Hawaii Farmers Markets, you will also find prepared foods, gift items and beautiful flowers!

One of my favorites is the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation Market located at Kapiolani Community College, 4303 Diamond Head Rd on Saturdays 7:30am-11:00am.  Another great market to check out is the People’s Open Market on Oahu.

  1. Another Great Blog Post !

Wow, great list! I wish I had it last time I was in Hawaii, and I’m definitely saving it for my next visit. Favorite thing found at a Hawaiian Farmer’s Market? Jackfruit! It was an unexpected delight. Tastiest thing, though, has to be fresh Maui pineapple…mmmm! And now I’ll spend the rest of my day trying to figure out how to convince my boss I can “work” from Hawaii. ;)

Thank you! I agree you can’t beat fresh Hawaii pineapple! I enjoy your blog http://travellatte.net/category/blog/ too! Hopefully your boss will realize that it only makes sense that you work from Hawaii! :)
