Sounds simple enough right? Our Hawaii Discount Facebook Fans agree! I asked our facebook fans what they thought was essential to pack for a Hawaii Vacation. Most of them agreed to pack lightly. Many items can be purchased at the ABC store when you arrive in Hawaii.
My Hawaii Vacation packing tip is to pack a swimsuit, change of clothes and any necessities you may need the first night in your carry on bag. This way if your luggage happens to get delayed by the airline you can just flash them the hang loose sign and head to your hotel without putting a damper on your Hawaii Vacation.
My computer didn’t make the essential list but as a travel blogger I enjoy taking my laptop on trips and making notes each day of my adventures. Even if you leave your computer at home my travel tip is if you take most of your photos on your phone be sure to email them to yourself each night so if your phone gets lost you will still have your treasured photos.
A popular Hawaii Vacation travel tip on our facebook page was to pack lightly and to buy an extra suitcase in Hawaii and fill it up with goodies purchased in the Aloha State.
Some of the other suggestions of things to pack from the Hawaii Discount Facebook Page include:
“Sunscreen” Several people suggested Sunscreen. A bad sunburn can ruin your Hawaii Vacation but if you can’t fit it into your luggage no worries – you can pick up several bottles at the ABC store or a grocery store.
“Extra memory card for camera” – A. Ibanez An extra memory card is a great suggestion! A friend of mine ended up having to buy one at the hotel gift shop but you would save money if you brought one from home. You will be surprised at the large number of photo opportunities. I took hundreds of photos on the 5 Hour Lost Tour!
“Underwater camera, people you want to share the time with!!” -L. Harrington I love taking photos and video when I am snorkeling in Hawaii so this is another great suggestion!
“We went for 10 days and it was AMAZING- I brought wayyy too much. If i went back I’d just bring bathing suits, shorts, tank tops, 1 light sweater & 1 pair of light pants or capris for cooler evenings, hair clip, ball cap, sunglasses, sandals, running shoes, underwater camera and your sweetheart is a must!!
