Hawaiian Islands Listed as Best Adventure Vacations
US News and World Report recently came out with a list of “16 Best Adventure Vacations in the USA.” Three Hawaiian Islands made the top 10. The Big Island came in at #7, Maui was ranked #4 and Kauai was #3!
|US News and World Report pointed out that the Big Island is “home to black volcanic deserts, tumbling waterfalls, lush rainforests and five volcanoes (one of which is still active). Visitors can snorkel, boogie board and kayak of the island’s coast or hike through Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park and the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge.” The Big Island has something for everyone. You can snorkel and snowboard on the Big Island on the same day! Be sure to check out
Kilauea Volcano and Hawaii Volcano Tours to witness an active volcano!
|The traits that helped Maui place at #4 include the “plethora of heart-pounding options from sea kayaking to mule riding. If you’re really hoping to get your blood pumping, tour a hidden lava tube deep below the island’s surface or spend the night in Haleakala’s volcanic crater after a long day hiking. But this is just the beginning; head to Maui’s northeast coast for a look at roaring waterfalls, belching blowholes and steep jagged peaks.” Maui is a feast for your eyes. From Haleakala, the world’s largest dormant volcano, to the breathtaking Road to Hana taking in the sights are an adventure in itself. Bike down the volcano, take a dip in the waterfalls and pools, you can even experience the scenery on Maui ATV Tours!

Miles of cliff-side trails call to intrepid travelers, while seemingly endless strips of shoreline welcome surfers looking to ride the perfect wave.” Kauai Helicopter Tours are one of the best ways to experience the beauty of the island. You can snorkel along the NaPali Coast, take a surf lesson or even try the new craze, Stand Up Paddling. Kayaking and Hiking are additional ways to experience this amazing island.
