Rum Fire, located in the Sheraton Waikiki is one of my favorite Honolulu Restaurants to grab food, drinks and some of Hawaii’s best views.
After a full itinerary of Hawaii Activities I decided to take a break and work on my travel blog notes at Rum Fire Waikiki. Rum Fire Waikiki is known for having some of the best cocktails on the island. I couldn’t decide on my drink order so I let the waitress choose for me. She brought me a “Skinny Chi-Chi.” It was an excellent choice – a mix of locally crafted Hawaiian Coconut Vodka, Skyy Pineapple Vodka and Pineapple Juice.
As I enjoyed my Skinny Chi-Chi I caught up on my notes about the Best Hawaii Activities as I took in views of Diamond Head and the Sheraton Waikiki pool area. This office view sure beat the view of my cubicle walls at my previous job!
Rum Fire Waikiki refers to their menu as being ‘social comfort food’ with global influences but with a distinctly Hawaiian focus. With so many choices I had a tough time deciding what to order. The lunch menu included their take on the classic Burger, Vietnamese Chicken Sandwich, Braised Beef Short Rib “Sloppy Joe” Sliders, Flash Stir Fried Edamame and Market Fresh Fish Tacos. I decided on the Signature Kim Chee Fried Rice. With oyster sauce, kalbi, portuguese sausage and kim chee it was delicious.
This is a great place to enjoy lunch but Rum Fire Waikiki is really hopping at sunset with stunning views. The views and ambiance at night are spectacular. After a day of Hawaii Activities be sure to stop by for great food, fun and cocktails into the evening. Enjoy the Hawaiian tradewinds outside or find a spot inside at the bar or a cozy table.
Whether looking for a meal with scenic views or a few drinks with family and friends be sure to stop by one of my favorite Honolulu Restaurants, Rum Fire! The one downfall of Rum Fire is the food and drinks are pricey so if you want to save some money try to hit the Rum Fire Happy Hour from 4:00-6:00 pm.
