Kauai Luau – Aulii Luau
After spending the morning admiring the stunning Na Pali Coast on the Blue Dolphin Charters Na Pali Coast tour we ended our day at the Aulii Luau. The Aulii Luau is a new Kauai Luau located on Poipu Beach at the Kauai Sheraton. The Aulii Luau has it all – oceanfront views, delicious food, great cocktails and a chance to be a part of Kauai’s rich history and culture.
We were greeted with beautiful Lei Greetings at the gorgeous oceanfront setting. The evening was extra special since we were able to spend it with friends. This Kauai Luau is a great place to celebrate with friends and family.
While guests arrived we were treated to delicious pupus (appetizers) and hula dancing.
I have been to many Hawaii Luaus and this setting is one of the most beautiful I have experienced. The luau grounds are gorgeous. The sky was filled with brilliant colors as we watched the sunset.
The food at this Kauai Luau is delicious! The menu includes traditional lau lau, Kaua‘i I‘a (fish), grilled I‘o marinated beef and island guava rub “Moa” chicken and of course roasted pua‘a pig cooked in the imu. I won’t tell you how many times I went back to the buffet but it was multiple times because the food was some of the best I have had.
After dinner we sat back and enjoyed songs and dances of Polynesia performed by Kauai’s talented and award-winning dancers of Urahutia Productions.
The audience got the opportunity to get on stage and learn the hula. Brandon did a great job representing Hawaii Discount on stage!
The Kauai Luau show is a journey through Polynesia from Hawaii to New Zealand, that includes fire dances, a performance depicting the story of the fire goddess Pele and her lover Lohi‘au, as well as a light-hearted number paying tribute to Hawaiian cowboys.
At the end of the Kauai Luau we were thrilled to meet and spend some time with local celebrity and the host of Aulii Luau, Dickie Chang.
We also had the chance to meet the talented dancers of the Aulii Luau.
The Aulii Luau is the one of the best Kauai Luaus. If you are staying in Poipu this Kauai Luau is not only convenient but will be one of the most memorable evenings of your Kauai Vacation!
