Kona Luaus – Haleo Luau
Every Monday as the sun sets on the Sheraton Kona, the evening lights up with fun at the Haleo Luau, one of the best Kona Luaus.
Our evening at Haleo Luau began with a lei greeting. The luau grounds were set up with various Hawaii Activities. I chose to get a “tattoo.” When he was finished with the tattoo he explained that the Hawaiian waves and birds represent Peace and Guidance.
After the Hawaii Activities we headed to the bar. Haleo Luau served a variety of drinks. Their Mai Tais were refreshing and delicious.
The Haleo Luau grounds are beautiful. We were able to take in this beautiful sunset as we sipped our Mai Tais.
We enjoyed an extravagant luau feast that included Kalua Pork, Island Fish, Chicken and Pineapple-Soy Glazed Beef. The food was exquisite.
My favorite was the Hawaiian Ahi Poke. It was so amazing I went back for seconds…and thirds!
After dinner we sat back and enjoyed the colorful and exciting Haleo Luau show filled with music and dances from Hawaii and other Polynesian islands. The grand finale is a hot, edge of your seat, fire knife dance.
I highly recommend the Haleo Luau at the Sheraton Kona Resort. The only downfall is that it is only offered on Mondays. If you are unable to fit this luau into your Hawaii Vacation itinerary then you should check out Gathering of the Kings at the Fairmont Orchid and Island Breeze Luau at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. These are also great Kona Luaus.
Have you ever been to Haleo Luau? Which Kona Luaus are your favorite?
