The Sea Maui Snorkeling Tour departs directly from Kaanapali Beach steps away from these popular Kaanapali Beach hotels. We arrived at the check in location in front of Whalers Village at 8:00 am. We took off our flip flops (slippahs) and climbed aboard the beautiful Sea Maui Catamaran.
As we sailed along the scenic coastline we were served a delicious hot breakfast. I sat back, relaxed and took in the stunning views as we headed to our Maui Snorkeling locations.
Our first stop was Honolua Bay. Honolua means “two harbors” in Hawaiian. During the summer Honolua Bay is one of the best places to snorkel on Maui.
Honolua Bay is a Marine Life Conservation District. Fishing is not allowed therefore the marine life density and diversity is second to none.
I even had the chance to swim near majestic green sea turtles.
I saw a variety of stunning tropical fish. The beautiful coral reef was abundant with sea life.
Our second Maui Snorkeling stop was Mala Wharf. This location is a fishing pier that was destroyed in 1992 by Hurricane Iniki. The pylons of the pier are scattered along the bottom of the sea providing a home to many species of fish.
The fun, friendly Sea Maui Crew even brought some marine life to us for a closer look. I was able to hold a starfish. We also got a close view of a baby octopus.
After the second snorkel stop we had lunch waiting for us. I was starving after so much snorkeling and the hot, delicious lunch hit the spot!

As we sailed back to Kaanapali Beach I enjoyed the views and a Bikini Blonde Lagar. I smiled as I reflected on my morning with Sea Maui. The snorkeling locations were great, the food was delicious and the crew was fun and friendly. I highly recommend this Maui Snorkeling Tour!
