Princeville Ranch Adventures
If you are a regular reader of Hawaii Discount Blog you know I have participated in many Hawaii Activities. With that said the Waterfall Picnic Ride with Princeville Ranch Adventures is one of the top 5 Hawaii Activities I have ever experienced! This Kauai Tour has it all. We enjoyed Kauai horseback riding, hiking, swimming under a gorgeous waterfall and more!
Our tour started with check in at the Princeville Ranch Adventures office. After check in we drove about a half mile to the stable. They had the horses ready for us and we were introduced to our best friends for the day. My horse was named Copper and we hit it off immediately.
We met our friendly guide, Anna Lee, and she gave us a brief horsemanship instruction.
I had not ridden a horse in years but Copper and I took off and headed to the open pastures.
If you are looking for a fast horseback ride with trotting this is not the tour for you. Our horses walked at a leisurely pace as we took in the beautiful views of the mountains, valleys and ocean.
We tied up our horses and began the next part of the Princeville Ranch Waterfall Picnic Ride.
We enjoyed a beautiful hike down a steep trail with steps through the jungle. Our guide told us about the history of the area as well as information about the flora and fauna.
We arrived at a magnificent 80 foot waterfall!
We had fun exploring and swimming under the waterfall.
We worked up an appetite and enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch next to the Kauai Waterfall.
After lunch we continued our hike. We hiked to the top of the waterfall and clipped in to cross to the other side.
Next we climbed a 10 foot rock wall and were treated to more spectacular views when we reached the top.
We made it back to our horses and continued our Kauai Horseback Ride. Princeville Ranch is a real working cattle ranch so we rode through herds of cows and calves along the way.
We spent about 1.5 hours horseback riding and the total Princeville Ranch Adventures Kauai Horseback Riding tour time was about 3.5 hours.
