Super Tips for Visitors to Hawaii

Today is Super Bowl 2011! Before I break out the nachos and the 7 layer dip I thought I would share some Super Tips for Hawaii Visitors. These are some of the tips that the amazing fans of our Hawaii Discount Facebook page shared last month!

  • Leave all your problems at home and enjoy, enjoy. – M. Bowen
  • Top of Waikiki….happy hour!!! 🙂 -C. Mills
  • Best Ahi Poke on the island is on the north shore at Kahuku Superette! – D. David
  • Go for at least two weeks. Get in your car rental and drive around the island you are visiting. Take your time and stop as often as you can to absorb the Aloha spirit. – M. Ortega-Kelby
  • On Oahu, rent a car and stop at points of interests such as Pali Lookout, on weekdays and weekends visit Aloha Stadium swap meet for all your island shopping they have everything there…If you are in Kapahulu Rainbow Drive In is the best…when you drive around the island stop at all the produce stands you can they have the best fruits and local food. – D.   • Always lock up everything, especially while you’re in Oahu!  Do have fun! Just remember that there are memories waiting for you to discover them in Hawaii! -D. George
  • Lots of tours available, caves to explore, volcanoes to see, snorkeling trips, deep sea fishing, hiking (Akaka Falls), surfing lessons available, long boards to rent, canoe trips, grotto anniversary tour aboard a flat bottom boat (well worth it to see the river where Blue Hawaii was filmed with Elvis Presley.)…Visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for a day of fun and make sure you bring a hat and sunglasses and wear sun screen too!..Make sure you bring some money with you to each island you will need it to possibly tip the bus tour people and or to buy some local fruit/vegetables a good idea! Guava is a favourite. Poi is interesting but better to try it with your meal not alone…Hawaii is definitely a paradise!!! – A. Martens
  • Do some planning & research before you go, so once you’re there, all you have to do is ENJOY! – D. Jedlicki
  • Take a swim suit in your carry on, in case your luggage doesn’t arrive when you do. – L. Wade
  • I like the bus $25.00 for 4 day unlimited usage. I almost had to buy another bag for all the extra stuff I got there. North shore is fun, shave ice is a must. Dukes & Shorebird… – K. Morgan 
  • Become friends with John F. (the owner of Hawaii Discount) and he can get you a good deal on your trip! -C. Hopkins
  • Must do’s on Oahu – Pearl Harbor, Punchbowl, Aviation Museum…..USS Missouri..brings out the patriotic feeling in every American!!! Drive drive around every is breathtaking and it restores the soul -A. Pratt
  • Lots of good sunscreen!! Go to the first ABC store you see, they have a good selection. Remember to cover all the exposed skin. Sunburns ruin vacation. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy the most beautiful place on earth.. – A. Riley
  • The best place to get souvenirs is the market at the Aloha Stadium on Oahu. 1/2 the price of everywhere else! Wed, Sat and Sun – S. Kerr

Are you cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Green Bay Packers?   Me, I will be cheering for the commercials – especially after seeing the Volkswagen “The Force” Super Bowl ad on Youtube!  It reminds me of my 6 year old who loves Star Wars!
