Swimming with Dolphins Hawaii Culture Cruise – Dolphins and You

Swimming With Dolphins

We had the privilege of swimming with dolphins on the Dolphins and You Swimming with Dolphins Hawaii Culture Cruise.

We were picked up bright and early in Waikiki and headed to Oahu’s western coastline. After boarding the boat we had a short ceremony that included a Hawaiian Blessing as we sprinkled flowers into the ocean. It was a fun way to start our adventure!

We had a safety briefing and the crew passed out snorkel equipment. We were ready to search for dolphins!

When the Captain spotted a pod of dolphins we got in the water and waited for them. It took a few minutes but the wait was worth it.  It was a breathtaking experience to have these magnificent creatures swimming past me.

Everyone was excited as we climbed back on the boat and we set off to find more dolphins. We got back in the water and once again we were not disappointed! I could not believe all of the dolphins swimming near us! I lost count I saw so many dolphins. I even saw baby dolphins! It was a magical experience!

After the exhilarating dolphin experience we headed to a snorkel location. It was a great spot because we were able to see a variety of beautiful fish and we even swam with a green sea turtle! We had the option to kayak and/or paddle board while we were at this location. While we were enjoying the Hawaii Activities a crew member was on board grilling our lunch – delicious cheeseburgers.

As we headed back to shore we enjoyed a special treat as the crew played ukelele, sang and danced for us! It was a blast! The crew was exceptional and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great time.

After the Swimming with Dolphins and Oahu Snorkeling portion of the tour we went to a park for a short hula lesson. They passed out leis and sarongs to set the mood for the hula lesson. The entire group had fun learning some hula moves. It was a great way to end this Hawaii tour!

  1. Love that you got to swim with dolphins! I’ve heard them in the water when I’ve been snorkeling and have had them around me in boats, but still have had the chance to swim with them. Might need to check this tour out to be sure to get a chance.
