Shopping on Oahu
I love to blog about the best Hawaii Activities – shopping on Oahu is one of the most popular things to do in Oahu.
If you are staying in Waikiki you most likely will end up in a Hawaii ABC Store. I like to say the “ABC” in their name stands for “All Blocks Covered” because it seems like there an ABC Store on each block – sometimes more than one! The Hawaii ABC Store has all of the essentials: sunscreen, boogie boards, clothing, food, drinks, books, souvenirs (including dashboard hula girls) and more! I have previously confessed I love the Hawaii ABC Store and have been known to shop in several in a row to see if I can find any additional treasures.
Speaking of treasures if you are going to be Shopping on Oahu be sure to check out the Oahu Swap Meet. The Oahu Swap Meet, located at Aloha Stadium, has over 700 vendors, crafters and artists from all over the world. The Oahu Swap Meet is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. This is a great place to find beautiful and unique items at bargain prices. Just be sure to get there early!
I love to stop in all of the surf shops in Waikiki. Hurley, Quiksilver, Rip Curl and Billabong are a few of my stops when shopping on Oahu – but my favorite is Honolua Surf Co. Honolua Surf Co. has great dresses for women and their tshirts are some of the softest I have ever worn!
If you are looking for high end shops Oahu has that covered with Waikiki locations of Tiffany & Co., Coach, Yves Saint Laurent, CHANEL, Gucci, TOD’S, Bottega Veneta, and BOSS.
The International Marketplace in Waikiki has over 130 carts/shops in the heart of Waikiki. Here you can enjoy shopping on Oahu in an open-air setting under beautiful banyan trees.
If you haven’t found what you are looking for in Waikiki be sure to check out Ala Moana Center with 290 merchants including local specialty stores, luxury stores, fine-dining and an international food court.
I’ve saved the best for last. One of my favorite places for shopping on Oahu is Pineapples Boutique. The original boutique is located in Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore. Pineapples Boutique offers beautiful clothing as well as jewelry, accessories and unique gifts. Obviously I am not the only one that loves this store because they have expanded to a second location in Ko Olina. The Grand Opening Ceremony and Blessing for the Ko Olina location is November 19. If you are staying at or near Aulani Resort and Spa be sure to check out the new location of Pineapples Boutique.
Despite there being so many things to do in Oahu it is no surprise that people love shopping on Oahu. What are your favorite places for shopping on Oahu?
